Due to the coronavirus pandemic, our in-office appointment procedures have changed to meet new state and CDC guidelines. If you think you might be at risk for the COVID-19 infection please call the office at 860-653-4526 to be pre-screened before your visit. Otherwise, for all other appointments, upon arrival, wear a face covering, park in a numbered parking spot and call the office @ 860-653-4526 to relay your location. If you are unable to get through on that line, or if you have a late or early morning appointment, try calling 860-653-5307. Staff will meet you at your vehicle, do an additional COVID screen and then bring you directly to an exam room. No one waits in the exam room.
During this coronavirus pandemic, we at EGFP also understand that some patients may wish to postpone or cancel their scheduled appointments for care. We urge those patients to consider a Telemedicine appointment. This is either a telephone call or a telehealth face-to-face HIPAA compliant virtual visit. Medical problems can be addressed, prescriptions written or refilled, medications updated, and laboratory or diagnostic tests ordered. In this manner, we can continue to address your medical needs in a timely manner. Please convert your visit to a telemedicine visit when you confirm your appointment, or keep your appointment in person at the office. We have taken comprehensive measures to keep you safe.
Our office uses secure HIPAA compliant programs: either doxy.me or doximity.com. This is similar to doing face time on your phone, but uses a secure connection. You will need a computer (that uses Chrome, Firefox or Safari browser) or an Android (that uses Chrome) or an iPhone or iPad (that uses Safari). Your device needs to have the ability to receive e-mail, have a working camera and microphone. The connection works well. Be sure that if using android, iPhone or iPad that, in "settings", find your browser, then find "camera" and set it to "allow" or "ask" to turn on the camera. Also, be sure that your computer browser supports your camera.
